Launching soon for UK HR and People teams

Your first co-worker, before your first day.

Evie is an AI pre-boarding co-worker for HR and People teams. She joins a new starter the day they accept your offer and stays through their first three months, so they always have someone to ask.

A welcome notification from Evie for a new starter at Calder and Finch, with their day one date of Monday 2 November at 9.30

  1. You've just offered someone a job. They've said yes. And then, for weeks, they hear almost nothing until their first day.
  2. Evie changes that. Within the hour, your new starter gets a welcome by text.
  3. There's nothing to download. A link and a one-time code, and they're in.
  4. Evie introduces herself. She already knows their role, their manager and their start date, so her answers fit them.
  5. Before day one, they get a note from their manager, a short to-do list, and the plan for their first day.
  6. Whenever a question comes up, they ask Evie. She answers from content you've approved, and shows the source.
  7. Company guides and colleague tips sit in one place, alongside messages from their manager and buddy.
  8. For your People Team, there's a simple admin.
  9. One screen shows who's starting soon, who's gone quiet, and what needs you.
  10. Upload your handbook, and Evie drafts the summaries and questions. Nothing goes live until you approve it.
  11. Match Evie to your brand, with your own style and colours, and see exactly what new starters will see.
  12. Reporting shows what new starters ask about, and where Evie needed your help. Never who asked.

Then come weeks of notice period, often one to three months in the UK. Your new starter is winding down one job and not yet part of the next team. It is where second thoughts and counter-offers do their work.

The admin overview and Reporting, with sample data.

A silent animation. It starts on the admin overview, then opens Reporting. Questions asked counts up to 142 and a line chart of daily questions draws in, with the busiest day, 24 September, highlighted. Answered by Evie reaches 87%, 13 questions could not be answered and 5 were handed to a person. The page scrolls to a donut chart of topics, led by pay and payday with 31 questions, and a bar chart showing most questions arrive before day one. It then returns to the overview.

Questions

Pre-boarding, explained.

What is pre-boarding?

Pre-boarding is everything between a candidate accepting your job offer and their first day. In the UK, notice periods often make that one to three months. Good pre-boarding keeps a new starter, or new joiner, informed and connected, which helps cut day-one no-shows and early resignations.

How is Evie different from employee onboarding software?

Most onboarding software is built around checklists, forms and e-signatures inside an HR system. Evie is an AI co-worker your new starter can talk to. She answers their questions from content you approve, from the day they accept until they are settled, and works alongside the HRIS you already have.

Does a new starter need a company email or an app?

No. Evie reaches them on their personal mobile or email with a link and a one-time code. She opens in the phone's browser, so there is nothing to download and no company login.

Can Evie answer questions about pay or contracts?

No. Anything about one person's pay, contract or health, or a grievance, goes to a named person on your team by email. On Enterprise plans she can raise a ticket in ServiceNow, Zendesk or Freshdesk instead.

How does Evie handle personal data?

Evie is built for GDPR, with a clear lawful basis, an easy opt-out from messages and deletion after a set retention period. Your HR team sees themes and counts, never individual conversations.
