How we use your information

This notice explains what information we collect through askevie.com and the Evie early-access list, why we collect it and what your rights are. It does not cover the Evie product itself. Customers and new starters will get a separate notice when the product launches.

Who we are

Evie is a product of We Are Four Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16582083, whose registered office is 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice.

You can contact us about privacy at privacy@wearefour.co.uk.

What we collect

When you join the early-access list we collect:

  • your name and, if you give it, your job title
  • your work email address
  • your company name, its size and roughly how many people it hires a year
  • whether you are interested in a pilot place or the Enterprise service desk integration

If you email us, we keep your message and contact details so we can reply.

When you visit the site, our web host records standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to keep the site secure and working. This website does not set cookies and does not use advertising or tracking tools.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To contact you about Evie and early access, including the launch price held for you and, if you asked, a pilot place. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you asked to hear from us, and we only contact you about Evie.
  • To reply to you when you email us. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: answering your question.
  • To understand demand, for example how many companies of each size have joined. We use this in summary form to plan the launch. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.
  • To keep the website secure, using the technical information our host records. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.

We do not sell your information or use it for anything unrelated to Evie. We will not add you to a newsletter unless you ask us to. You can tell us to stop contacting you at any time, and we will stop. Every email we send includes a way to opt out.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information. Our website host and the service that stores early-access sign-ups hold it on our behalf, under contracts that only allow them to use it on our instructions.

We would only disclose it if the law required us to.

International transfers

We store your information in the UK. If any of our providers access or process it outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep early-access details until 12 months after Evie launches, or 24 months after you joined the list if Evie has not launched by then. If you become a customer, your details move to our customer records and our customer privacy notice applies. If you ask us to remove you sooner, we will. Technical logs are kept by our host for 30 days, unless we need them longer to investigate a security issue.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct it
  • ask us to delete it
  • object to us using it, including for contacting you about Evie
  • ask us to restrict how we use it
  • ask for a copy in a format you can take elsewhere

We do not make automated decisions about you.

To use any of these rights, email privacy@wearefour.co.uk. We will reply within one month. If your request is complex, we may need up to two more months and will tell you why.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice if what we collect or how we use it changes, and change the date at the top. If a change affects you significantly, we will tell you by email.
